Cells can be of many different types. Starting from the most primary division, cells can be either Eukaryotic cells or Prokaryotic cells. All bacteria are prokaryotes. All multicellular organisms such as animals and plants (including some unicellular organisms) are classified as Eukaryota (Eukaryotic cells) including humans.
Divisions of Prokaryotic Cells
Prokaryotic cells can then either be Eubacteria or Archaea bacteria based on their genetic properties.
