Working with RNA

RNA is not as stable as DNA as it is usually single-stranded, and also is digested by RNAses which are quite abundant in the environment. For this reason, RNA work is usually conducted in a sterile environment or sterile tubes, DEPC treated water and buffers, and also RNAse inhibitors.
