Blocking buffer

Blocking buffer is often used to block the membrane of western blots in order to prevent non-specific binding of antibodies to the membrane.

Western Blot Membrane Blocking Buffer Recipe

To make 5% blocking buffer in TBS-T, add the following:

• Add 5g Non fat dry milk in 100 ml TBST
• Use soon after use
• Can store short periods (i.e 1 day) in fridge.
