Could you tell me the guidelines the doctor goes by for chronic constipation? I take Bi-polar medications and have suffered for years with constipation. I have tried Colace, and Amitza with no relief. I take fiber pills 2 times a day. And I am unable to go. So at the end of 7 days I try enemas but can not get everything out. So I have to take a high does of laxatives which keep me house bound for 1 to 2 days. And I am now suffering from internal hemorrhoids and bleed for days after. I hate living like this, hopefully you can help.
