Osteosarcoma is one of the most common malignant bone tumor. Pain is usually the first symptom of osteosarcoma. The pain usually accompanies with swelling and limited joint motion. Many studies support that the pain is caused by tumor-derived products such as prostaglandins, tumor invasion to sensory fibers, acidosis, microfracture, or extension of the periosteum. With chemotherapy, pain tends to diminish in most of cases.
