OBJECTIVE: To resect the tumor in trigone and bladder neck and remain micturation function. METHOD: A new procedure low segmental-cystectomy which includes resection of the trigone of bladder, prostate, vesicular seminalis, extremity of ureter, was performed on 8 patients aged 28 to 57 years. RESULT: The patients were followed up for 6 months to 3 years. No recurrent tumor and metastasis were found, and micturation function was normal. CONCLUSION: This procedure is superior to Bricker's operation, Kock pouch bladder and ileal neobladder. The patients enjoy good life quality after operation.
