    bruce b chisholmBruce B Chisholm,

Facial aesthetic surgery has progressed from a tension procedure to a surgery that combines volume restoration with excision of excess tissue and tension restoration. Atrophic changes, which occur during the natural aging process, and congenital deficiencies of the facial skeleton are effectively addressed with alloplastic and autogenous facial implants. The two most common implants are the midface and chin implants. Indications for the use of implants in the treatment of a deficient or atrophic face are reviewed.
