A study of the attitudes of secondary school teachers toward population education and the possibility of introducing it into the school curriculum. 132 questionnaires sent to teachers in 12 higher secondary schools in Lucknow were analyzed. The teachers were found to be favorable to population education in the schools, but emphasized the need for understanding the larger issues rather than practical applications such as family planning, sex education, and so on. Various characteristics of the teachers sampled are given.
