    A new planar U-shaped motif that consists of eight DNA helices has been successfully constructed. The motif assembles into a homo-dimer or 1D array of 24 nm width, and provides window-like structure at nanometer scale. This well-defined nanostructure is possibly useful to observe small chemical compounds with AFM.
