Flow cytometric determination of leukocyte surface antigens in whole blood. Quantitation of cell surface antigens in whole blood with the flow cytometer is very simple and requires:
1. Blood collection; 2. Addition of antibody; 3. Calibration of the flow cytometer; 4. Making measurements. - [Read Flow cytometric determination of leukocyte surface antigens in whole blood]
Protocol describes a method for isolation and stimulation of lymphocytes. Leukocyte-rich plasma is collected from whole blood and then centrifuged through Ficoll-Hypaque. The collected cells are resuspended in growth medium containing various mitogens to stimulate growth. - [Read Lymphocyte Isolation and Culture Protocol]
A method for ameliorating autoimmune disease by passive transfer of IVIg-primed leukocytes. Developed a method for ‘priming’ specific leukocyte populations with IVIg to study their potential role in ameliorating ITP upon passive transfer, which we describe herein. Using this technique, found that splenic CD11c+ dendritic cells reacted with IVIg, or several IVIg mimetic regimes, were primed to ameliorate ITP upon transfer to thrombocytopenic mice. - [Read Method for Ameliorating Autoimmune Disease by Passive Transfer of IVIg-Primed Leukocytes]
