Absorbance assays are fast and convenient, since no additional reagents or incubations are required. No protein standard need be prepared. The assay does not consume the protein. The relationship of absorbance to protein concentration is linear. Because different proteins and nucleic acids have widely varying absorption characteristics there may be considerable error, especially for unknowns or protein mixtures. - [Read Absorbance Assay 280 nm]
Protocol for Immunoblot. Includes: Staining and Laser Capture Microdissection; Protein Separation by Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis; Electrophoretic Transfer To a Membrane (Nylon, PVDF or Nitrocellulose); Primary and Secondary Antibody Incubations; Visualization. - [Read Immunoblot Protocol]
Protocol describes our method for preparing cells for immunofluorescence, in which all incubations and washes are performed in microtiter dishes. The protocol can also easily be adapted for preparing cells for immunofluorescence in microfuge tubes. - [Read Large-Scale Immunocytology Protocol]
Protocol for RUVKUN antibody staining. Includes: Fixation; To make solution; REDUCING DISULFIDES TO -SH; OXIDIZE -SH GROUPS TO -SO3; TO CHECK THAT WORMS ARE PERMEABLE TO MACROMOLECULES; ANTIBODY INCUBATIONS; PERMANENT SPRINGTIME MOUNTING. - [Read RUVKUN Antibody Staining Protocol]
