| Hi, I am new to these forums but I am kind of in a knot right now as far as education goes. I recently just moved and am kind of packed with a lot on my plate and don't have much time to seek an education adviser right now (though I will in the near future). I figure coming here would be a decent choice at least for a start. I am looking to pursue a degree in Zoology namely in Mammology. I prefer to work at a Zoo/Sea World or Aquarium to work with marine mammals and hopefully train them. I'm assuming that perhaps some psychology may be needed with this but I know for my undergraduate I will probably major in Biology with a minor in psychology. At any rate, I plan to go to GVSU (Grand Valley State University) for my undergrad, but they do not offer Zoology. They do, however, offer "Animal Biology." You can see the course plan here: catalog.gvsu.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=14&poid=2152 Now, my question is if I majored in this for my undergraduate would I be able to pursue mammology for my Masters after? Or should I seek a school that solely offers Zoology? Thanks for the help in advance. |
