Default endosymbiosis

there are several school of thought about the avolution of mitochondria and chloroplast, but the one that is considered more fit is that these are the results of endosymbiosis of bacteria or bacteria like organism in the eukaryotes
what do you think about evolution of Mitochondria and chloroplast??
Please give suggestions with evidences

I think this is a very interesting question, maybe something like the chicken and the egg question. There is no doubt they are quite similar however how they got inside the animal cells / plant cells is quite interesting and difficult question.

Any ideas?
