| Hello, We routinely use column kits (GE Illustra RNAminispin) for RNA extraction for adult tissues with good results but are now using embryos. Our RT-PCR results are generally poor compared to adult and 260/280 ratios very high (>2.2). However, reference genes look good. Is this a problem with the yolk? From what I have read so far, most (almost all) people use Trizol in embryo work. Can someone please comment on this. Is it worth getting the Trizol? Thanks, Jon |
