| Dear all, Does anyone could help me to understand why a S.cerevisiae strain carrying the ade2-101 ochre mutation becomes pink in YPD but not in YPEG? Thanks a lot for your help! Catarina |

I have noticed when plating these things that on YPD sometimes it takes a bit of time for the red color to develop on the colonies. Right now we are growing basically the exact same thing, W303 in YPEG, and they definitely are red. |
