| Hey everyone, I was just wondering what PVDF membrane people use. What do you like/not like about it? We use the Bio-Rad 0.2um and my PI is wondering if it might be the reason for "bald spots" in blotting. Thanks! |

| 0.2um is pretty small pore size if you're looking for your proteins in a normal size range. Small pore size = poor transfer of anything but rather small proteins. We use the .45um from Millipore and it works pretty well for us. One time we used .2um by mistake and our blots were terrible so going up to something like .45um might not be a bad idea. |
