Default 11KD detection

Help! Any recs on best way to run a western for 11 kd protein or another detection method. Need to run tissue samples.

...you should only run your lysate in gel with a high % of acrylamide, for example 12_15%....If you use a coloured marker, you can follow the run to avoid to loose your protein...

simply use Schagger and von Jagow's SDS-PAGE system instead of Laemmli's one
it is optimized for 10 kD proteins, should give you better resolution

Hello,
I would use a gradient gel. Gradient gels ie 8-20% allow separation of very large and very small proteins.

Either that or use very high percentage SDS-PAGE.
