choosing a method for stable transfection
 

Hi, I wanted to get a stable transfection in some tumor cells.

I was recommended to take the lentiviral system but I dont know how I can clone my gene of interest into such one. DoI have to take a special vector or does it work with some additional lentiviral packing plasmids???

If you can transfect your cells with regular plasmids, do it. Less work and easier to handle. Test with a GFP construct and see if get >5% transfection yield, if yes, go for it.
