| I mean scientists say it could be used to replace other organs, so technically speaking they could right? I mean to perform a sex change on a women or something along those lines. |

| not yet - the penis is made of different types of tissue - you need skin, veins, erectile tissue, blood vessels... i'm not sure they could grow a penis without other bits (testes) because this also needs hormones to grow. just my opinion. |

| It looks like some scientists from Wake Forest University Institute for Regenerative Medicine are working on it. From the Wake Forest University Institute for Regenerative Medicine website: "Our scientists were the first in the world to successfully implant a laboratory-grown organ into humans and today are working to grow more than 22 different organs and tissues in the laboratory."
