Question Does Fetal Calf Serum have stem cells??

Hi!
I am using fetal calf serum for my research project to grow tissues from mouse. I saw more growth of the cells than expected when i increased the conc of FCS in the medium. So i wish to know if FCS has stem cells of any kind since it is extracted from 3month old unborn fetuses ??

Please do reply asap

No. There are no stem cells in FCS.

Hi
Blood contains two parts. liquid part and cellular part. liquid part contains water and dissolved protein and other molecules and this part is called serum or plasma depending on method of sepration. so it dont contain any cells.

aftab
