there has never been a fountain of youth discovered so it would not be the next one, unless you are suggesting it is something that everyone believes will work but will never be discovered

Stem cells were created by God, and should not be messed with, if they come from an embryo. Otherwise, it's alright and ethical. But to answer your question, stem cells cannot be the "NEXT" fountain of youth, because, so far, there hasn't been a "FIRST ONE".
