Default Stem cell research is not killing babies. Why...

...don't I find fellow Christians that agree? People say ....if you kill a stem cell then ur killing an unborn baby.

First of all a stem cell is just that. A cell...not a baby.

Second of all...most of them cells r going to be discarded anyway if not used for research

Third ...for those who wants to save these stem cells....why dont they set up funds to raise the kids that come out of them then?

Fourth and my favorite logic. READY!? Following your logic: A stem cell can lead to a baby....is an unborn human being. THEN! Every sperm is also a potential baby. So you should say to guys that they should not wack off because they are killing 200+ million babies each time.

If your going to advocate for stem cell's liberation then you have to do so for sperm's lives too. It's just fair.

you agree?

Because you have it wrong.

EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS can only be obtained from FERTILIZED EGGS.

A fertilized egg is a complete, albeit embryonic human being, complete with a human soul.

When you extract the stem cells, you KILL the fertilzed embryo, so you KILL a tiny human being.

It's that simple.

It's frozen, and as long as it stays so it will not become anything. I've heard people droll on and on about how fertilized eggs are live humans too, but they will never become a person if they sit in a freezer.

A sperm, even though a cell, cannot become a baby on its own, whereas a stem cell, being fertilized, can.

Masturbation is a sin only because of what (more importantly, WHO) we're thinking of when we do it. If killing sperm cells is a sin, then God wouldn't have let us have wet dreams, right? The urge for 'release' was put there for a reason. It's up to us what avenue we would want to have our sperm cells excreted.

In terms of morality, it would be best if we could also get the perspective of a parent or a patient needing the help of stem cell research.
