Stem Cell research is murder?

I'm glad that President Bush had the courage and character to stand up to liberal communists and not use federal funding to support MURDER. That's right, stem cell research is MURDER.

Think about how many fertilized eggs have been murdered in the last five years alone? How much blood is on the hands of these atheist scientists?

I say atheist, because most of the researchers are. They don't believe a soul exists, so they think there is nothing wrong with murdering a fertilized egg. When the researchers die, they will have God to answer to.

There is NO reason to use murdered cells for stem cell research. Stem cells from adults are JUST as good.

Actually, there are many reasons to use cells that would otherwise be discarded.

But if you actually believed your own lies, you would be protesting against fertility clinics -- and you should think women that get in vitro should be put to death. Will you admit that?

Or do you prefer to let them slow-decay in the LN2, becoming dead in 30-40 years?

What are YOU doing to stop fertility clinics, and why are you supporting Bush when he has done nothing to stop them.

I think your beliefs are very convienient, and not based on understanding where these cells come from.

First of all, liberals are not communists, and there is no reason to personally attack researchers who are trying to save peoples' lives. Please educate yourself on what stem cells are and where they come from. Stem cell research IS NOT murder. Stem cell reseach brings life to those who have no hope for any type of cure. Stem cells can come from bone marrow and umbilical cord tissue AFTER a baby is born. Those cells are not fertilized. If stem cells come from cells that are fertilized (mind you that they are leftovers from fertilization clinics and will be removed at some point) there is absolutely no proof that life begins at conception. That belief is merely based in religion. I am a researcher and I take offense that we are called atheists simply becuase we try to use science to save peoples' lives. Honestly, it is the most noble and humane pursuit. To be so judgemental about the great work we do (like searching for a cure for AIDS or cancer) is to belittle yourself and your religion, which teaches the exact opposite of what you just stated. Try to gain some perspective about life. It isn't so black and white like you make it out to be.
