Default Crumpled membrane

Hi...I wondered if any of the others have faced this problem. Recently, we have been seeing crumpled membranes or membranes with indentations which is giving us false positive results. When I say false positive it means, the bands are seen with only the secondary antibody in the absence of the primary.

Has anyone seen such a thing?

Default Re: Crumpled membrane

It may be a dumb question but there it goes: Was the membrane properly blocked before the assays? Unblocked sites of membranes are the main reason for unspecific binding and ultimately false positive results. Maybe those indentations weren't porperly blocked.
