Question Native or Denaturing Gel Electrophoresis?

Hi everyone, i am looking to study an antigenic protein.

Should i boil my samples and then run a denaturing gel? Or will that affect its function/antigenicity?

Some of my friends said I should try native page any ideas?

Default Re: Native or Denaturing Gel Electrophoresis?

i would try both. Add laemmli buffer with DTT to your sample and try it without DTT. Your samples shouldn't be boiled longer than 5minutes. DTT reduces disulfide bonds and defold the protein.
