Umm, to all of the people who say that God designed us this way, and that we shouldn't change that, I have news for you. 'God' has given us this knowledge, so why shouldn't we use it? If "He" didn't want us to have it, then we wouldn't. Anyone who knows the story of Noah's Ark would know that God said that he would no longer meddle with the affairs of Humans. He would let us develop as we would. This is where we have developed to, and we continue to develop past this point. 'God is no longer a part of these arguments. This is harsh, I know, but people cannot keep on using the 'God' argument.

Screw humans. It's true we got the knowledge but we'll end using it to selfish and stupid purposes, like trying to achieve eternal youth and that kind of stuff. Luckily, those experiments could also lead to humanity demise. Either way, a simple individual can only choose between agree or disagree with genetic engineering. I find it interesting as knowledge but selfish as purpose. And by the way, I don't give a **** about "God argument".

You know I think there are a lot of benefits God would be sad if we didn't take advantage of if we didn't use that knowledge.

God has nothing to do with how we use that knowledge. Don't use him as a justification of man's decisions. We aren't in middle age anymore.

I feel that making this discussion religous in nature strays from the point of such work, but it is an important point. I feel that engineering is allright since it is ultimately for the greater good. Surely, it could be used for evil rather than good, but I believe this holds true for every technology. The extreme potential for good that this technology holds makes research into it more than worth it in my opinion. The lifes saved by genetic engineering technology would seem to be something a loving God would be all for.

There are an increasing number of people that will be choosing to deal with unwelcome solutions in an friendly to the environment fashion. It is important which when you are performing a cleanup to do it carefully so that you do not end up with incidents.
