Hi, This is Gunjan Shah. I am doing my dissertation on the topic mentioned as a title to this new thread. I am dwelling into divergent branches of Science where the principles of Religion are assisting in scientific research as evidences to bolster my statement. - Can anyone provide me more information on this topic, also other areas of Science? - What sorts of principles is Molecular Biology taking from Religion? Looking forward for your reply. Thanks and Regards, Gunjan Shah

Religion and science both are different things. We can try to merge them. Religion may have or not have a proof but science has always a proof. Without proof no one can believes on the science. If we talk about religion we require only faith. So science and religion both have the two sides of one coin. Last edited by johncameron1985; 05-16-2011 at 11:48 PM.

big bang theory can't explain where dusts of clouds came from..... as well as Darwin's theory of evolution..... therefore....Science depends on God's creations....

Wrong John - science rarely has proofs. Concepts generally accepted as correct explanations of phenomena are considered theories - like the theory of evolution. The sides of coin analogy is silly. gunjanshah - if you were to approach this scientifically, you'd offer it as an hypothesis and test - rather than search for information exclusively in its favor.

Science vs. Religion? I didn’t know that they were fighting.I think a more appropriate phrasing would be that science without religion is hopeless and religion without science is meaningless.Science gives us knowledge, but religion gives us meaning. Science without religion is not meaningless and religion without science into fundamentalism.

Science just find out, but nothing can create. Religion is universal truth, we should realize it throw our heart. Only God can create something from zero.

A theory is a hypothesis based on ideas and backed by FACT!! So, lets not get confused here. Evolution is a theory based on fact. Honestly, science and religion cannot mix. Religion is having blind faith in something that you cannot see or hear. Science is based on evidence and facts. It's like oil and water. People who try to say science and religion can be combined are clutching at straws because they are scared that science will just blow the whole Creationist theory out of the water. The world is not 2000 years old and God did not create the earth in 7 days. that just belittles the wonderful thing that science and nature is
