Default Sense and antisense in RNA interference.?

Can someone please explain the difference between sense and antisense RNA and what this has to do with RNA interference.

DNA has 2 strands, the strand which is transcribed in the cell (i.e. functional transcript) is called sense strand. the other which is complementary and in turn when transcribed after inversion of the sequence in a vector is called antisense. for more information you can search the web for antisense technology. If you want you can download this book on antisense technology that I found for my notes

You could call antisense technology as artificially induced RNA interference or RNAi as natural antisense mechanism
