Arrow Problems getting Knock-down using SiRNA

Hi,
I am having problems knocking-down a gene using SiRNA.
How do I know it is a siRNA transfection efficiency problem or a problem with targeting?
thanks

I would check the mRNA levels of the gene you are trying to knock down.
Also, is there some type of transfection efficiency control you can do? is your siRNA in a vector? I would also try another cell line/tranfection reagent just to see if you get better knock down in another model.

some hints... anyone else?
