Why does RNAi fail?
 

I'm doing a project about RNA interference (RNAi) for a college course.

The one thing I could not find information for was what causes RNAi to fail.

People get viral infections all the time, what happens naturally in the body that stops RNAi from preventing RNA based Viruses from causing infection.
