Question Phenol/Salt contamination of Extracted total RNA

Hi I got a problem with phenol /salt contamination of RNA as shown by the low A260/A230 ratio. can anyone help with how to proceed further? I need it for downstream enzymatic reactions

You could try to further clean up your already extracted total RNA using a spin column made for that purpose. Phenol residue may indeed interfere with your sensitive downstream applications.
