Default Trizol question- color change?

Hello-

I would like to use trizol as a buffer for homogenization using stainless steel beads- for some reason the beads cause the trizol to change color from pink to orange (and later dark brown if I let the beads sit in trizol for a while). Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Will the trizol still be effective?
