Question RNA Precipitation DNAase Treatment

Hello everyone,
I need to concentrate RNA samples to conduct a real time PCR.

I have used the Qiagen kits however my RNA concentrations are way too low.

Im going to try to precipitate the RNA using salt and EtOH however i have a problem in that i would like to DNase treat my samples to use them in the q-PCR reaction.

Anyone have suggestions on how exactly to continue?
thanks again

Default Re: RNA Precipitation DNAase Treatment

Hello,
what you can do is treat your RNA first with DNase.

Then you can inactivate the DNAse. Following that, precipitate the RNA.

An alternative method is you can first precipitate your RNA and then DNase Turbo treat the samples before QPCR however this is less preferrable.

cheers
