If you don't like to mess with phenol/chloroform and like an easier and simple protocol, try [Only registered users see links. ].

1) Homogenize 20mg tissue in 200ul AquaRNA.
2) Spin to pellet debris and transfer super to a new tube.
3) Mix with 1vol of isopropanol and spin to pellet RNA and DNA (keep the super if you want to recover the proteins for Western).
4) Rinse the pellet with 70% EtOH, air dry, suspend pellet in 50ul water.

Do a DNaseI digest if you need to remove the DNA.
