| Hello Everyone, We need to do a RNA and Protein extraction from the same sample for Real Time and Western analysis. We have a RNA extraction kit from QUIAGEN that works fine. From the first flow-through we are trying to recover the protein but without sucess. We know that there are some kits for this but they are to expensive. Any ideas for that? More lyse? Protein precipitation? Thanks Editing: I think that some component on the Rna Lysis buffer may inhibit complete lysis and protein recover. Anyone with experience on that? | Look into Trizol. I used that in undergrad to make cDNA for QPCR, and I am pretty sure you can also make a protein prep somehow with it. |
