would it be possible to change the rna of the hiv... ...virus to withstand the outside enviroment like the cold? i have no idea on how this works just asking if it is possible, they say if it is possible man would do it, i was wondering this incase a depressed or a mad crazy biologist has this capability |
are you a terrorist? |
Anything is possible is we set our minds to it. But in this case, you would have to be one sick puppy to want to. |
No, it isn't. HIV can't live when it touches the air, but it doesn't really have a problem with hot or cold. But to my knowledge there are no scientists working on the matter and it isn't even possible that they could do it. |
The state of the art in bioweapons research is probably scarier than that. I think people who think we don't need to fight terrorism are ignorant, or nuts. |
Theoretically yes. Certain viruses last outside the body longer than others (it is generally believed that flu particles last longer than cold viruses for instance). Learning from the differences in structure between long lasting and short lasting viruses, one could incorporate the important factors into a virus. |
