| You need to know the exact location of the SNP in your sequence. Then design an assay with primers that identify SNP bases. You'll need 2 pairs. One for wild tytpe and the other one for the mutant. |

| If you need a software that can design SNP genotyping assays, get Beacon Designer or AlleleID. They will help you do real time PCR primer design and design of molecular probes such as TaqMan probes or molecular beacons.
