Default How many endogenous reference gene should we use?

Dear all,
I'm working with qRT PCR and using 18s as endegenous reference gene. I had tried with some others reference genes (actin, TUB5, eF) but only 18s which looked work very well with my samples. I read paper 2009 from plant journal about reference gene and one comment in editorial said that for qRT analysis it is better if used more one reference genes. My question is: How many endogeous reference gene that normally should used in qRT PCR analysis? Is it possible (allowed) use only one for qRT PCR analysis? Thank you very much for the answer..

People tend to use only one, but there are papers out there that use multiple genes. There is even one company that developed a program to help you determine the best of 4-6 candidate genes for your condition.
It takes a lot of work, and time to do this though. might not be the best avenue to pursue.
