Arrow Contamination of Real-time PCR

Hey guys,

I think i may have contamination in my real time pcr... how do you know this for sure?

are there any signs or ways to tell? ie peaks are off?

It depends on the shape of the amplificaiton curve of your house keeping gene. What is the CT value of the house keeping gene of your sample? or could you show the picture of the amplication curve?

Run negative controls. If using SYBR green determine melting points. If fluroescent probes you can run your reaction on a 2-3% agarose gel.
