Exclamation Real-time PCR instrument

Hello! I'm living in France and, in my lab, we are looking for a new real-time PCR instrument using 96-wells plates.
At this time, we have to decide between:
- Bio-Rad Chromo4
- Roche Light-Cycler480
- Eppendorf Mastercycler Realplex4

Do you use them ? Have you got some problem (technical, software, manipulations?)
All your comments are welcome !
Thanks !

Hi
We have a Bio Rad mini opticon of 48 wells. It has been used in the lab for a year or so...recently we had some probelms with the lid and with the machine stopping at a certain point in a melting curve...we had prompt response from the Bio Rad people...we are now waiting for it to be repaired and meanwhile they have sent another machine to replace the other one.

I think that if you're thinking of using the Universal Probe Library from Roche, I would go for the Roche machine. However, Bio rad also supports the taqman technology in most of the models

good luck

Anna

They should be fine but Applied Biosystems and BioRad are the best in terms of software and support. I've used both systems for real-time pcr Applied bio platform was great for Taqman probes, and BioRad was good for SYBR and taqman.
