hi,i would like to get some help with a couple of questions,if someone could answer them i will be really glad.

how does ethanol precipitate proteins and why it is need it to be ice cold?
which is the best source to isolate DNA?
easy and cheap protocol to isolate DNA?

Hello there Almu!
welcome to the forums!

The best and cheap source depends what is available and what you would like to do with it.

In many North American schools, calf thymus is used as a cheap source of plentiful DNA.

You could easily just extract it from cheek cells using a scraper.

A simple ethanol precipitation is used to isolate DNA cheaply. You can find many protocols here.
