Thanks Tim That's interesting. I didn't see anything about proline in the MSDS - how were you able to work that out? And does anybody know anything about proline and Mg chelation?
The MSDS pdf is available at [Only registered users see links. ] listed at HotMaster Taq DNA polymerase. The 10x concentration is probably 100 mM L-proline, since that is equal to 1.3% (w/v) and falls into the range mentioned in the MSDS of 1 - 5% (w/v). That concentration of proline is for a 10x magnesium acetate concentration of 25 mM. 1x proline at 10 mM and 2.5 mM magnesium seems reasonable
