| Hello all. We ran into a big problem running microsatellites analysis on an ABI 310. We use the 2500 size standard from ABI as an internal standard. Running the same sample several times, we got different allele size. We were told that the 2500 size standard was not the ideal thing to run in denaturing conditions. We tried an other size standard (mapmarker 100) with the same results. We are using the GeneScan (mac version) for analysis. I was told that the reprocibility problem as been solved on genemapper. Before bying the thing ($$$$$$$$) I would like to know if it could really solve the problem. Does anyone as ever goten this reproducibility problem, and if so how do you correct this. Thank you for your help. Eric Parent Maurice Lamontagne Institute Fisheries and Oceans Canada |
