I want to buy several 8 channel electronic pipettors. I found three
companies that manufacture/market such pipettors:

- e-PET Electronic Pipettors from Scidynamics,

- Multi Channel Digital Pipette from Topac,

- Tranferpette from Geneq, and

- Multi-Channel Electronic Pipettors from Geneq.

Any one has experience with any of these pipettors and any
recomendation? Your response and recommendation will be very much
appreciated.

Z.T.

I'm currently trying out demo units from Rainin. I'm not sure what type
of 8 channel you're looking for (multi-dispense? One that takes only
P200 or 300 ul tips and can do titrations?). I know that Rainin is
currently having a "buy one get one free" deal that we're planning to
take advantage of. I don't know how long the offer is good (neither did
our rep but she said that she's been given no end date yet, which
probably means it's good at least through January). I'm testing out an
electronic 8 channel that will take 1200 ul tips and can multidispense.
The regular price for one unit is usually $995 but at buy one, get one
free (or < $500 a piece), it's currently cheaper than most of the lower
end pipettors I've tried from other vendors. The buy one get one free
offer applies to many of their multichannel pipettors, both electronic
and manual, so you may want to contact your local Rainin rep and ask for
demo units to test out.

I don't have experience with any of other specific brands you mentioned.
