| Hello everyone, I would like to know whether anyone knows about a semi- automatic/automatic system to refill pipette tip boxes suitable for small/medium size labs. Bellco Glass used to sell a device called Tipster, but this has been discontinued. Obviously, two ways to deal with this problem is either a) buy tip boxes rather than refilling them and b) simply do it manually. None of these options sound very exciting to me and I just wonder how most people cope with this problem in these days when high-throughput screening is increasing consumption of pipette tips so quickly. Thank you very much for you help. Best wishes, Patricia |

| Patricia, you might check if there is a (probably 3rd party) supplier that refills your empty boxes. Is probably less expensive than buying a filling machine an they might do the quality control for you. Wo At 00:29 09.10.2003 -0700, Patricia Blanco-Arias wrote: --- |

| Hi, We use a system from Neptune (or CLP, Continental Lab Products) that is called ESP. The tips come in boxes of 10 x 96 tips in perforated plates, ready to lift up and mount in tip boxes. They cost more than twice the price of tips in bags, but I think it still pays off compared to the costs of a filling machine.
