Default Constitutively expressed genes in E. coli

Hi,

I am looking to design a RT-PCR assay to determine the expression of a gene
in E. coli O157. In order to standardise my assay I am trying to decide
upon a constitutively expressed gene to use as a comparator. Can anyone
suggest a good gene to look at?

Thanks for your help

Anthony Hilton
