| One more question for you guys. As I mentioned before, I made a gel shift in native PAAG, and subsequently transferred both DNA and protein to the PVDF membrane (Immobilon P). Both 5'-32P-labelled DNA and protein seem to stick pretty well to membrane. Now, I want to determine whether anywhere on a membrane there is a non-radioactive DNA (dephosphorylated as a result of possible activity of the protein). The DNA is single stranded, and its quantity is not very high (around 1 ng per lane). Is there a method of staining the ssDNA on a membrane so that this 1 ng could be subsequently visualized (specifically, to distinguish from protein)? Cheers, Emir |
