| Has anyone had any luck cleaning out and reusing 96-well PCR plates? Our lab goes through quite a bit of these and we are looking ot cut down on their consumption. Specifically we are using the LabSource plates but would be willing to change if it matters. Thanks, Eric Vallender [Only registered users see links. ] |

| Eric, as long as they don't have any special coating (I don't think that), the most important thing is to get rid of DNA in the wells. After flushing them with water, immerse the plates into bleach (NaOCl/NaOH, 5 to 10% should do it, household bleach is ok) over night. Then just rinse well with dd water afterwards and let them dry.
