proteomics mycoplasma

Hi

I am going to compare 2 cells lines, one enzyme positive, the other enzyme negative however my cell lines are mycoplasma positive. Will this affect the proteomics results? Will it be ok to treat the cells with antibiotics to eliminate the mycoplasma infection?

thanks

Re: proteomics mycoplasma

It would be best to get rid of the contamination first and do the experiments later. It may be difficult to get rid of mycoplasma but if the lines are precious it definitely is a good start.
