 Re: transcriptomics and proteomics question? transcriptomics involves the analysis of RNA. This is typically mRNA analyzed by microarray or next gen sequencers. Proteomics involves the analysis of proteins and is typically done by mass spectrometers or protein arrays. Both terms general refer to large scale analyses in which thousands or ten of thousands of analytes are measured.  |
